Mr. Hewlett, licensed by the North Carolina State Bar in 2003, has a varied legal background ranging from Personal Injury and Worker’s Compensation to Family Law. Mr. Hewlett has represented clients in injury cases and matters such as divorce, child custody and support, equitable distribution and alimony from the Capital to the coast.
Originally from Carteret County, North Carolina, Mr. Hewlett received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science, with a minor in Religion and Philosophy, from Barton College in Wilson, North Carolina in 1998. While attending Barton College, Mr. Hewlett was active in the college and local community serving in a number of student organizations and volunteering at the Wesley Shelter Domestic Violence Shelter in Wilson, North Carolina.
Mr. Hewlett obtained his law degree from Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, PA, where he served as a student attorney in the Harrisburg Civil Law Clinic, assisting low income clients with a host of civil litigation matters. Additionally, while in law school Mr. Hewlett worked in the legal department for AFSCME, AFL-CIO, the Nation’s largest public service employees labor union.
Mr. Hewlett lives in Wilson with his wife and two children. After 9 years of practice, he joined the Morrison Law Firm in 2012 and currently concentrates his practice in the areas of Worker’s Compensation and Social Security Disability.
